Leonia HS Crew Team

The Leonia Crew Team was established in the spring 2011 as a club sport at Leonia High School. The proximity of Overpeck Lake to the school puts Leonia High School in the unique positions of being able to row right in front of their building. To get the Leonia Crew Team started the School Board has asked Coach Clemens Reinke, Head Coach of the Teaneck High School Crew Team. This year, Coach Clemens will continue to be the head coach for both Leonia and Teaneck High Schools. Leonia hired a new assistant coach, Danielle Babiak. Both teams will practice from the same location, and travel to races together.
Leonia's Crew Team is off to a good start. Seventeen rowers are practicing five times a week on Overpeck Lake. The teams are beginning to form.
